Overview
Spring Soccer League

Please note: The Spring Soccer League 2010 registration is now closed. Games start the week of April 5.

The Spring Soccer League (formerly referred to as Seven A Side League) has been in effect for over 10 yrs now. It was established to provide an alternative to the structured, competitive nature of fall soccer. The Spring Soccer League is geared towards boys and girls who want to play purely for the fun of the sport. There is a less competitive edge to it. Results of regular season games are not recorded.  Standings are not kept. Teams are not required to practice. Players just attend games once per week and play. There is no tiering of teams into divisions of different levels. All teams play at the same level. Many new players play in the Spring Soccer League as do some established fall rep players. The teams are formed as fairly as possible by evenly distributing rep players amongst the teams.

The younger age groups (4-7 yr olds) wrap up their season with a Pizza Night after their final game. The older age groups (8-14 yr olds) wrap up with a fun mini tournament. All players playing in the Spring Soccer League are awarded a medal at the end of the season.

As always the involvement of parents as team coach/managers is important to the success of the league. A thorough knowledge of the game is not required. Just your enthusiasm and ability to organize, encourage and support your players is all we look for. Please check the appropriate box on your child’s registration form if you are interested in coaching your child’s Spring League team.
